House concert for RIGIANER in the form of a public rehearsal

The Rigi Music Days will take place for the 12th time in 2025.

The artistic director Diemut Poppen remains true to her motto "Chamber music at its best" and brings 9 excellent international soloists to the mountain, who achieve top musical performances together in intensive artistic work.

This year's theme is LOVE AND LIFE and deals with the diverse expression of the soul in 5 events.

"Music is the language of the soul" is the title of the opening concert on the summit of Mount Rigi. Music unites people and conveys the spiritual, emotional and aesthetic values of mankind, whose finest moments have produced compositions by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, Mendelssohn and others. The latter three great composers have experienced the Rigi themselves and occupy a place of honor in the program of the Rigi Music Days. The chamber music performances range from baroque music to modern music, with a special focus on romanticism, particularly in the "Evening of Songs".

The music of J.S. Bach is the common thread running through all the Rigi Music Days, this year with the highlight "Goldberg Variations" in a string trio version, to which a matinée in the Felsenkapelle is dedicated.

The internationally renowned musicians represent Argentina, Belgium, China, Germany, Korea and Switzerland on several occasions, and even include a National Councillor (Estelle Revaz). In the final concert on July 20, all the string players come together for the famous first string sextet by Brahms for a final climax.
