With around 2100 Bachelor's and Master's students, the ZHdK is one of the largest and most diverse art academies in Europe. For the Jazz and Pop profile in the Department of Music, we are looking for the fall semester 2025 for a

Head of Major Pop in the Jazz / Pop profile (30 %)

The Jazz and Pop profile offers Bachelor's and Master's degree programs with approximately 90 study places. It is part of the Department of Music and develops its effectiveness in interaction with the other musical profiles and in the interdisciplinary context of the ZHdK.

Your tasks:

You will be responsible for the operational, artistic and coordinating management of the Pop Bachelor's and Master's major study programs with around 30 students. Your work will be carried out in close cooperation and shared responsibility with the overall profile management of Jazz and Pop, the heads of the Jazz major programs and the secretariat. You will coordinate the subject-related and specific administrative processes of the Bachelor's and Master's Pop programs and assume joint responsibility for the Jazz & Pop profile as a member of the management team.

As the central contact person, you will also support students and lecturers in their individual and subject-related concerns.

with experience and commitment in the field of higher education jazz and pop with strategic vision and forward-looking ideas
with profound knowledge of the international pop (possibly also jazz) scene and a broad network
with pleasure in demanding management tasks
