New Year's concert "Classical meets folklore" with Nicolas Senn (dulcimer) and Trio Fontane
Eleven years ago, the well-known hammered dulcimer player Nicolas Senn and the Trio Fontane joined forces with Noëlle Grüëbler (violin), Jonas Kreienbühl (cello) and Andrea Wiesli (piano) to create the captivating project "Classical meets folklore". The success of this virtuosic and joyful crossover production was not long in coming: sold-out concert halls and appearances on Swiss television have accompanied the formation since its foundation. "Rendez-vous of the finest classical music with Appenzell folklore" was the headline in the Lucerne newspaper after one of their acclaimed concerts. In Gonten, the quartet will also be performing Innerrhoden dance music in a very special arrangement by this accomplished ensemble.
