Preparatory concert for the Swiss Brass Band Competition

The Swiss Brass Band Competition is the most important competition in the Swiss brass band scene. The preparatory concert offers the participating brass bands the opportunity to present their test piece in front of an audience and thus simulate the competition situation. In each category, the bands are assigned an original work that corresponds to the respective strength class and is specified by the Brass Band Association. In the highest category, the bands must also perform a piece of their own choice.

The competition in the highest class lasts two days. The task piece is played on Saturday and the self-selection piece on Sunday.
