Zurich Pride Festival

Christopher Street Day has been held regularly in Zurich since 1994 to protest against discrimination and for the rights of the LGBT+ community (LGBT+ stands for "lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender", the + stands in solidarity for all other sexualities). In 2009, Zurich hosted Europride, which was taken as an opportunity to rename Christopher Street Day the Zurich Pride Festival. The peaceful Zurich Pride parade is the political manifestation of the queer community throughout Switzerland and its friends.
