Carte Blanche Concert: NIMBUS Saxophone Quartet - OWN SOUNDS
As part of the CARTE BLANCHE concert series organized by the municipality of Cham.
With its current program „Own Sounds“, the NIMBUS Saxophone Quartet consistently goes its own way: the focus is on works written especially for this line-up and performed for the first time.
Four musicians, four saxophones - soprano, alto, tenor and baritone - merge into a homogeneous ensemble sound that also leaves room for individual expressiveness. The compositions move between chamber music clarity and jazzy openness, between finely arranged structures and spontaneous moments.
„Own Sounds“ is a concert for an audience that is curious about new worlds of sound, about carefully crafted music away from the familiar - and about the immediate energy of an ensemble that develops its music together and brings it to the stage.
An evening with an independent signature, tonal depth and musical presence.
