Lea Suter and Juan González Martínez Honored in Spain
Swiss harpsichordist and organist Lea Suter and Spanish trombonist Juan González Martínez have been awarded the «Melómano de Oro» for their CD «Mediterranean Melodies.» .
The award is presented by the Spanish classical music magazine Music Lover awarded. The CD was released in January 2’26 by MDG and features music from the early 17th century.
Lea Suter and Juan González Martínez have formed the Duo GlossArte. In 2025, the ensemble won the 9th International H. I. F. Biber Competition in Austria. According to a press release, the Bremen-based duo stands for «informed performance practice that combines musical rhetoric and artistic freedom.».
