Your Introduction to the World of Classical Music
With “Neuland,” we invite curious minds to explore the world of classical music and the unique characteristics of a chamber orchestra. This program is designed for anyone who has had little or no exposure to classical music or the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. Get to know our chamber orchestra in a relaxed atmosphere, learn what it means to be a professional orchestra musician, and ask everything you’ve always wanted to know about how an orchestra works and all the details surrounding it: Who decides which program is performed? What’s the difference between a symphony orchestra and a chamber orchestra, and why do people always wait until the very end to clap?
An evening full of exciting stories and unanswered questions. Franziska Frey, artistic director of the ZKO, looks forward to a lively discussion with you.
