Beethoven today

With Patricia Kopatchinskaja and her concerts, themes from the past, present and future merge into a unique dialog. Together with the Finnish pianist Joonas Ahonen, we experience three of Beethoven's violin sonatas in a completely new sound - works of which we only think we already know all the secrets. But far from it! With a fresh perspective and unconventional interpretations, Patricia Kopatchinskaja breaks with listening habits - also by contrasting the sonatas with two (!) world premieres: one of her own works, signed as "PatKop", and a work commissioned by the festival from Márton Illés, a Hungarian student of Detlev Müller-Siemens and Wolfgang Rihm. An exciting bridge between old and new!
