Bern Concert Orchestra - Spring Concert

Johanna began her studies at the age of 15 in Stuttgart in Davide Formisano's class, which she completed with top marks. She received important impulses during her Erasmus at the CNSMDP with Sophie Cherrier, and completed her Master Performance with distinction in Basel in the class of Felix Renggli. She ended her career as a student in Bern with a degree in music education in the class of Barbara Balba Weber and Christian Studler. She was awarded the Eduard Tschumi Prize for her final project "Der letzte Müller".
As a prizewinner of several international competitions such as the "Concorso Gazzelloni", "Israel International Flute Competition", "Sparda Classic Award", Swiss Chamber Music Competition" and the "Valiant Forum Solistenwettbewerb" and the "International Solistenwettbewerb Grenchen", she has had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with orchestras such as the "Hilaris Festival Orchestra" and the "Israel Chamber Orchestra" in Germany, Barcelona, Israel and Switzerland.
Johanna is principal flute of the Symphony Orchestra Bern and teaches orchestral and chamber music at the Zurich University of the Arts. She also teaches every summer at the "Crescendo Summer Institute", which takes place in Tokaj, Hungary.
She is passionate about artistic music education, creating and trying out new concert formats and collaborating with other disciplines. She has managed music education and concert projects for various Swiss music festivals, such as the "Swiss Chamber Music Festival", the "Musikfestival Bern" and "Bachwochen Thun" and Bühnen Bern.
