Songs of Creation and Decay

Der Cantabile Chor Pratteln bringt am Freitag, 15. November 2026, um 19:30 Uhr in der Katholischen Kirche in Pratteln unter der Leitung von Bernhard Dittmann zwei Werke zur Aufführung: Gabriel Faurés Requiem und das neue Chorwerk «Carmina Mundi» von Thomas Fortmann. Zwischen den beiden Konzertteilen beleuchtet Prof. Reinhold Bernhardt, emeritierter Professor für Systematische Theologie und Dogmatik an der Universität Basel, die Gemeinsamkeiten der Religionen.
«Carmina Mundi» sets mystical texts from the world's major religions to music in seven movements, blending their musical scales and rhythms with Fortmann's own musical language. The concert brings together music, spirituality, and interfaith dialogue.
