Lucy Walsh

Scottish flautist Lucy Walsh combines the sounds of her homeland on the Isle of Arran with innovative virtuosity in her playing. Influenced by traditional music and the wild nature of Scotland, she combines classical music with improvised elements and interdisciplinary approaches. Her musical path led her from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where she won several awards, to the Bern University of the Arts, where she has been studying for her Master's degree since 2024.

Career highlights include premiering a work by Electra Perivolaris at the Arran International Festival and performing with renowned ensembles such as ICTUS and the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra. Lucy is co-founder of the Iorsa Collective, which makes classical music more accessible through art forms such as dance and theater. With her passion for tradition and modernity, Lucy Walsh opens up new horizons in classical flute playing.
