Mediterraneo - Origin VII

Since Avi Avital founded his ensemble "Between Worlds" in 2014, the celebrated mandolin virtuoso has pursued a clear goal: to break down the boundaries between cultures, musical styles and worlds and instead build bridges - for more understanding, exchange and cohesion. His vision, which is more relevant and important today than ever before, unfolds amidst the sounds of southern Italy: from Naples, the birthplace of the mandolin, all the way down to Apulia, where ochre-colored landscapes meet the turquoise of the sea. Here, life beats to the pulsating rhythm of the tarantella, and unadulterated voices like those of Alessia Tondo seem to come straight from the soul of this region.
