The Cello Gala | La Romantica Chamber Series

An evening dedicated entirely to the cello—as a storyteller, a voice, and a living legend.
Five cellists from the world’s leading orchestras come together for an extraordinary program that combines masterpieces by Bach, Grieg, and Tchaikovsky—newly arranged for cello ensemble—with the distinctive voices of living cellist-composers. Among the works are Giovanni Sollima’s haunting *Flagelazione* and the world premiere of a new cello quintet by Swiss cellist and composer Cyprien Lengagne, made possible with the support of the SUISA Foundation.
The past and the present merge into a unique musical journey—intimate, powerful, and unforgettable.
The evening begins with a welcome drink in an elegant setting and concludes with an exclusive reception where the audience can meet the cellists in person, discuss the music, and raise a toast together.
