Treasures of the Baroque

They are the new heroes of the international baroque scene and breathe new life into centuries-old pieces of music. With outstanding virtuosity and their fresh approach, they transform every note into sparkling fireworks - as if the music had only been composed yesterday. They have been performing together as "Le Consort" since 2015: harpsichordist Justin Taylor, an American-French student of Blandine Ranou, violinists Théotime Langlois de Swarte, who belongs to William Christie's "Arts Florissants" family, and Sophie de Bardonnèche, who studied with Amandine Beyer at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, as well as cellist Hanna Salzenstein, who completed her training with Raphaël Pidoux in Paris. During their stop in Rougemont, they will meet another star of the baroque world who has also been closely associated with the Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy for many years: the master of the recorder, Maurice Steger.
