Infinite finiteness
Music for the Day of Prayer: The program spans a wide temporal range and revolves around the tension between temporality and transcendence, between human limitations and the invocation of a spiritual dimension.
Marco Amherd's Vokalensemble Zürich West leads through various dimensions of transience and spiritual confidence. The concert focuses on nature, people and the course of the day as an allegory and leads from the prayer for peace on Yom Kippur to «Ave verum corpus» from a Renaissance perspective, which is concluded with a contemporary commentary. This theme connects the religions - Rabbi Chaim Guggenheim will contribute an introductory video.
