Folk Music Festival Altdorf - June 13
Two open stages invite young and older, smaller and larger formations to present their own folk music in Altdorf.
In its 8th edition, the festival presents over 20 concerts in the Theater Uri, in the Schlüssel-Saal, in the Schützenmatt, in Café Central and in the marquee on Altdorf's Lehnplatz, where there will also be two dance nights again. Two open stages invite young and older, smaller and larger formations to present their own folk music in Altdorf.
The organizer is the House of Folk Music, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary with musicians from all cantons of Switzerland and is therefore making a big splash. For example, the Bernese brass collective Traktorkestar and the Harmonie Lausannoise wind orchestra will be performing together on stage. The opening concert is already a real highlight: Andermatt composer and accordionist Fränggi Gehrig composes and arranges a complete program for the Theater Uri house orchestra and performs it as a duo with Maria Gehrig and the orchestra.

Saturday, 1.30 pm: Alpinis - folk music ensemble of the HSLU
Saturday, 3.30 pm: Transatlantica - sound journey from the Alps to the ocean
Saturday, 5 p.m. (in the foyer): Bal Folk with Trio Carac
Saturday, 20.00: Harmonie Lausannoise & Traktorkestar
