Fabian Renz becomes the new editor-in-chief of the Schweizer Musikzeitung
Journalist Fabian Renz will take over as editor-in-chief of the Schweizer Musikzeitung on July 1.

Renz has been with the Daily Gazette most recently as Head of Analysis and Opinion. Before that, he worked for eight years as a team leader in the Federal Parliament. His journalistic career began in 1999; from 2006 he worked as a Federal Parliament correspondent for various media.
At the University of Zurich, he studied general history with a minor in musicology and Swiss history. In addition to journalism, he is also deeply involved in musical issues.
Until the end of August, he will be accompanied by the current Editor-in-Chief Katrin Spelinova and Pia Schwab. Both will retire at this time.
Jean-Damien Humair remains in his position and also ensures continuity. He has headed the French editorial team since the first issue of Swiss Music Newspaper For some years now, he has also coordinated the contributions of the SMZ associations.
