New Instructors for Violin, Voice, and Saxophone in Lucerne

Starting in the fall semester of 2026/27, Friederike Starkloff, Mimi Doulton, and Fabian Willmann will be teaching at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Music.

Friederike Starkloff has been the first concertmaster of the Basel Symphony Orchestra since the 2023–24 season and will move from the HMDK Stuttgart to the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2026 – Music as the successor to Brian Dean, who will retire at the end of the spring semester of 2026.

British soprano Mimi Doulton has been performing on many opera stages since 2018. Her focus is on the 20th- and 21st-century repertoire. Starting next fall semester, she will become a full-time lecturer in voice. The new saxophone instructor will be German bandleader, composer, and musicologist Fabian Willmann.
