Promotion accent of the Canton of Berne
The cantonal cultural promotion of the Bernese Office of Culture has launched an extraordinary, time-limited funding accent "Continuer - Contributions to Development and Consolidation". It is intended to strengthen the current activities of creative artists.

According to the canton's press release, the funding accent is intended to enable around 80 creative artists (organized individually or as a collective or group) to deepen their artistic questions and further develop their working methods and orientation - in general or in relation to the consequences of the pandemic - with contributions of a maximum of CHF 10,000 (CHF 15,000 for collectives). Applications can be submitted from now until August 31.
In order to make this strong funding emphasis possible, this year - in close cooperation with the cantonal commissions for dance and theater, art, literature and music - individual top funding instruments such as the Bern Culture Prize or other very specific instruments for promoting individuals will be dispensed with. Instead of a few outstanding cultural practitioners, a larger number of professionally committed cultural practitioners are to be supported in the second year of the pandemic with funds from regular cultural funding.
