New impetus for choral work
From October 31 to November 4, 2016, Carus-Verlag is hosting the Stuttgart Choir Atelier for the fifth time.

Participating choir conductors can expect a wide-ranging workshop program with proven experts from the choral music scene. Speakers include Helmuth Rilling, Friedhilde Trüün, Klaus Brecht, Klaus-Martin Bresgott, Richard Mailänder, Peter Schindler, Jan Schumacher and Klaus K. Weigele.
The workshops are aimed at conductors of choirs of all ages. They offer practical impulses for choral work with children's and youth choirs (voice training, motivation, development from monophony to polyphony, new musicals). The program also includes exciting repertoire recommendations for adult choirs,
including songs in the choir, English choral music and choral literature on the Reformation. In his workshop, Helmuth Rilling, the grand seigneur of the German choral scene, will provide insights into his personal approach to the great choral symphonic works Messiah and A German Requiem. The workshop program will be rounded off with guided tours of the publishing house, the opportunity to browse through the extensive Carus music library and the chance to exchange ideas with colleagues and publishing house staff.
Registration is now open. Detailed program information, the registration form and a short film documentation of the Stuttgart Choir Atelier 2014 are available at: www.carus-verlag.com/themen/choratelier
