Lecturer Piano Jazz & Popular Music (preliminary course and Bachelor level)

The Winterthur Institute for Contemporary Music (www.wiam.ch) is looking for as of August 19 a lecturer for piano in the field of jazz & popular music. Teaching level: preliminary course, Bachelor of Arts in Music.

Workload: Wednesdays, ca- 5-6h

Your tasks:

Teaching piano jazz and popular music at pre-course and bachelor level, as well as individual supervision and artistic support for students. Helping to shape a practical and future-oriented education. Participation in projects, ensembles and examinations within the degree programs.

Your qualifications:

Completed university degree in jazz, popular music or related fields or a comparable artistic qualification
Proven artistic activity in the field of jazz and/or popular music
Broad stylistic competence and openness to current musical trends
Networking within the Swiss and/or international music scene is an advantage
Language of instruction German
