Concertmaster:in

The Grenchen Town Orchestra under the direction of Flurin Ruedlinger is looking for a concertmaster from August 2025.

The Grenchen Town Orchestra is a traditional amateur orchestra with over 100 years of history. It regularly works with young regional and international soloists and performs up to four concerts a year with different focuses. The repertoire is stylistically diverse. The orchestra is made up of musicians from various age groups, with professional section leaders in the individual registers and professional wind players as required.

General conditions:

• Fixed-term contract until June 2026 with option to extend.
• We are looking for a committed individual with a Master's degree or advanced degree.
• Very good oral German language skills and strong communication skills required.
• Experience as a concertmaster or section leader is an advantage.
• Experience in working with amateur musicians is desirable.
• Residence and work permit for Switzerland required.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays from 19:30 to 21:30 in Grenchen.

Application process:

Round: Interviews on May 9 & 10, 2025.
Round: Audition and rehearsal with orchestra on May 20, May 27 and June 3, 2025.
