The Appenzeller Vorderland Music School is an established institution with a wide range of lessons and a dedicated team of 29 teachers. Due to the retirement of the previous head teacher, we are looking for a new August 1, 2026 a competent and motivated person for the management of the music school.
Your tasks
- Pedagogical, artistic and organizational management of the music school
- Personnel management, advising and supporting teachers and managing the secretariat
- Financial responsibility: budgeting, annual accounts, control of expenditure
- Organizing music school operations and maintaining cooperation with the school commission
- Representation of the music school internally and externally, public relations
- Optional: own teaching workload
Your profile
- Completed training in music education (Master's degree) with teaching experience
- Training as a music school director or equivalent management qualification
- Strong leader, socially competent personality
- Independent, careful and reliable way of working
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
- Good IT skills (Excel) and basic knowledge of accounting
