Due to retirements at the Institute of Music Education and in research, we are looking for two or three colleagues to join our teaching and research team as of September 1, 2026 or by arrangement. We are looking for music educators who are actively involved in the profession, have a vision for the future of music education at grammar schools and enjoy tackling and supporting further developments.
Dozentur Schulmusik Sekundarstufe II (Lehre) 40-80% (aufteilbar) Die Vergabe der Stelle an 1 oder an 2 Personen ist möglich.
Fields of activity:
- Teaching duties (didactics of school music secondary II, professional practice of school music secondary II, music pedagogical research, supervision of theses)
- A combination with subject responsibility and study coordination for secondary school music (supervision of students, responsibility for examinations, further development of the degree program) is possible.
Your profile:
- Master of Music Education Secondary Level II or comparable qualification
- Teaching experience in upper secondary school music
- Good professional networking, if possible also in Central Switzerland
- Teaching experience in a university context and qualification in the field of subject didactics an advantage
- Active musical activity desired
Professur Schulmusik Sekundarstufe II (Lehre und Forschung) (40-80%) Die Stelle wird an 1 Person vergeben.
Fields of activity:
- Teaching duties (didactics of school music secondary II, professional practice of school music secondary II, music pedagogical research, supervision of theses)
- Research projects embedded in the university's research department
- A combination with subject responsibility and study coordination for secondary school music (supervision of students, responsibility for examinations, further development of the degree program) is possible.
Your profile:
- Master of Music Education Secondary Level II or comparable qualification
- Doctorate desired or comparable research experience
- Experience in acquiring third-party funding
- Networking in the departments and in the research community
- Teaching experience in upper secondary school music
- Teaching experience in a university context is an advantage
- Active musical activity desired
