The grand master of modern creative jazz Django Bates is an experience in his own right as a composer and pianist. With every concert, with every recording he surprises, whether he is exploring \u00abblue makams\u00bb with Anouar Brahem, paying tribute to Charlie Parker or editing and distorting: he always combines a masterful craft with exciting, aesthetic and deeply weird ideas.<\/p>\n

In recent years, he has increasingly turned his attention back to the piano as a solo instrument. What will he fish out of the endless sea of possibilities exclusively for us? We shall see.<\/p>\n
