The works to be selected are submitted by the respective national sections. The submissions of the Swiss Society for Contemporary Music SGNM\/SSMC were coordinated by its Vice President Nicolas Farine.<\/p>\n<p>Winkelman studied composition with Roland Moser and Georg Friedrich Haas. In 2013 she was Composer in Residence at the Musikdorf Ernen in Switzerland and in 2014 at the Lockenhaus Festival in Austria. She has received commissions from the Harvard Musical Association Boston, the Basel Sinfonietta, Musikfabrik K\u00f6ln and the Lucerne Festival, among others. Her works have been performed by the Ensemble Phoenix and the Arditti Quartet.
