He taught historical trombone in The Hague, at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and at the Staatliche Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik in Trossingen.<\/p>\n<p>The Christopher Monk Award was initiated by the Historic Brass Society (HBS). It is awarded annually to an individual for outstanding achievements in the field of historical brass instruments. The HBS organizes symposia and collaborates with other organizations on conferences.
