He was a trustee of the Hindemith Foundation from 1968 and its president from 1986 to 1998. <\/p>\n<p>He worked with Rolf Liebermann at Radio Zurich for two years. From 1955 to 1964, he taught in the Department of Music at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia (USA).
