{"id":3434,"date":"2014-08-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-08-24T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.musikzeitung.ch\/allgemein\/auf-tuchfuehlung-mit-dem-nachwuchs\/"},"modified":"2014-08-25T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2014-08-24T23:00:00","slug":"auf-tuchfuehlung-mit-dem-nachwuchs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.musikzeitung.ch\/en\/service\/2014\/08\/auf-tuchfuehlung-mit-dem-nachwuchs","title":{"rendered":"In close contact with the next generation"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.musikzeitung.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Tromp.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Marcus Brauer\/pixelio,SMPV<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class='text-section'>\n<p>Participants will receive individual and chamber music lessons from the following professors and lecturers at the university: Markus W\u00fcrsch (trumpet \/ cornet), Immanuel Richter (trumpet \/ cornet), Thomas R\u00fcedi (euphonium, baritone, E-flat horn), Simon Styles (tuba), Markus W\u00fcest (trombone), Lukas Christinat (horn), Olivier Darbellay (horn).<\/p>\n<p>Thomas R\u00fcedi explains why he is taking part in the Brass Academy as a lecturer, what sets these two Academy days apart from other courses and who can take part:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For a long time, we brass teachers at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts have been keen to intensify contact with young musicians in Central Switzerland. The \"Konsi\", as it is still traditionally called, should not be an elitist castle high above the city.<\/li>\n<li>The young musicians are given the opportunity to gain an insight into musical life at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts over the course of two days. The focus is also on personal contact with the lecturers. Our aim is to give young, talented brass players a boost on their musical path and to pass on our passion for classical music to them.<\/li>\n<li>All brass instruments are welcome without exception. Registration should be supported by a verbal or written recommendation from the music teacher or conductor of the brass band. It is very important to us that music teachers and\/or conductors in the region draw the attention of their pupils to this brass festival.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Short public concerts by the lecturers will take place during the academy. The final concert, also open to the public, will take place on January 18, 2015 at 6 pm.<\/p>\n<p>Registration deadline: October 31, participation fee including two lunches: CHF 40.<br \/> Exceptions to the geographical limitation of the group of participants may be granted.
