Photo: zVg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to the current call for applications, Joe\u02bcs Youth Jazz Orchestra.ch focuses on the exploration of original big band material. The musicians, aged between 16 and 22, explore jazz literature and composition. Playing together in a big band is encouraged, as is solo improvisation.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Joe Haider, pianist, composer, bandleader and long-standing director of the Swiss Jazz School in Bern, Claus Reichstaller, director of the Jazz Institute at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts, and trumpeter Bernhard Schoch, Uster, are also involved in the project management. During the work phase from August 2 to 10 in Uster, they will be supported by a large team of lecturers.<\/p>\n<p>Further concerts in Switzerland and nearby countries are planned.
