Fachard was born in New York to a Swiss father and a Greek mother and grew up in Lausanne. He studied composition with Daniel Glaus, William Blank and Xavier Dayer, as well as with Lachenmann, Ferneyhough and Boulez. In 2015 he was Composer in Residence at the Composer's Next Generation program of the Geneva Ensemble Vortex. Fachard lives in Lausanne. Alongside him, Max E. Keller, Egidius Streiff and Javier Hagen (President) are members of the current SGNM Board.<\/p>\n<p>The SGNM is the Swiss section of the International Society for Contemporary Music (IGNM\/ISCM) and was founded in 1922 by Winterthur patron Werner Reinhart - the first Secretary General of the ISCM - as one of the first country sections of the ISCM.
