The Cologne-based Dohr-Verlag provides a useful remedy here. In the series <em>Adrian's Song Album Series<\/em> several collections of songs by important romantic composers such as Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, but also Gabriel Faur\u00e9 were arranged for cello and piano by Adrian Connell.<\/p>\n<p>The range of the cello part does not exceed the 4th position and can therefore also be mastered by pupils. The harmonic and melodic richness of these compositions offers both performers and listeners much greater pleasure than conventional shallow salon pieces.
