According to the laudation, the orchestra's diverse program is a clear sign of the importance of this area. \"The differentiated and flexible program integrates a mobile venue and thus reaches people both in the city and in the countryside. Particularly noteworthy is the inclusive concept, which invites people with and without disabilities as well as socially disadvantaged groups to encounter music,\" write the jurors.<\/p>\n<p> Silvan R\u00fcssli, head of the Swiss \"Culture inclusive\" department, is also convinced: \"The Lucerne Symphony Orchestra is doing pioneering work in Switzerland in the mediation of classical music. Its music education program reaches children and young people as well as senior citizens and people with disabilities. This is a very valuable and important contribution to society.\"<\/p>\n<p> For the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the Young Ears Award is a great accolade. \"When we initiated our music education program in 2007, we were the first orchestra in Switzerland to set up a position for this purpose. To this day, the music education program is entirely privately funded.
