The host is the Beijing Modern Music Festival. The works to be selected are submitted by the 65 country sections and presented to the festival jury.<\/p>\n<p>The submissions of the Swiss Society for New Music SGNM\/SSMC - this year works by Isabel Klaus, Beat Gysin, Daniel Z\u00e9a and David Philipp Hefti - were coordinated by its Vice President Nicolas Farine.<\/p>\n<p>Hefti was born in St. Gallen in 1975 and studied composition, conducting, clarinet and chamber music in Winterthur, Zurich and Karlsruhe with Wolfgang Rihm, Wolfgang Meyer and Elmar Schmid.
