Si tratta di una melodia banale, del tipo prodotto da decine di direttori di coro dell'epoca: orecchiabile e trionfale, ma anche innocua e intercambiabile. La canzone si diffuse come canto scolastico, alcolico e patriottico con testi diversi, prima in Svizzera e poi in Francia.<\/p>\n<p>Matthias Schmidt, direttore del Dipartimento di Musicologia, e il suo assistente Andreas Baumgartner sono interessati a capire come questo brano musicale ordinario sia riuscito a diventare un pezzo importante dell'identit\u00e0 nazionale molto pi\u00f9 tardi.
