Tischbein, 1823 circa. wikimedia commons,SMPV<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class='text-section'>\n<p>Una nuova edizione molto attesa nel mondo della musica \u00e8 appena stata pubblicata da Musikverlag <br \/> Abbraccio pubblicato: la prima edizione critica dell'opera <em>Pentesilea <\/em>(1927) di Othmar Schoeck. L'opera teatrale forse pi\u00f9 importante del compositore svizzero (1886-1957) \u00e8 stata finora sempre eseguita sulla base di una partitura con numerosi difetti. Il musicologo svizzero Beat F\u00f6llmi, professore all'Universit\u00e0 di Strasburgo e da tempo direttore della Othmar Schoeck Complete Edition, pubblicata per conto della Othmar Schoeck Society (OSG), ha ora redatto una versione completamente corretta, eliminando centinaia di errori, alcuni dei quali gravi. La nuova edizione segue il pi\u00f9 possibile le intenzioni del compositore e rende cos\u00ec accessibile un'opera centrale dell'opera di Schoeck per il palcoscenico e per gli studiosi in un'edizione moderna.<\/p>\n<p>Con la pubblicazione di questo importante volume, l'edizione completa delle opere di Othmar Schoeck giunge purtroppo a una conclusione prematura. Nonostante gli intensi sforzi, l'OSG, in quanto organizzazione responsabile dell'edizione completa, non \u00e8 riuscita a fornire i fondi necessari per la sua continuazione. L'edizione completa \u00e8 stata iniziata nel 1988 e finora sono stati pubblicati 11 volumi (in 17 rate), che comprendono la maggior parte delle opere, le prime canzoni, le opere corali, le opere per pianoforte e le opere orchestrali complete, compresi i concerti.
