Foto: Daniel Stockman, wikimedia commons,SMPV<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class='text-section'>\n<p>La pi\u00f9 antica casa editrice musicale attiva in Francia, fondata nel 1841 da Alphonse Leduc, ha un catalogo impressionante, che \u00e8 stato ampliato da due acquisizioni commerciali: le Editions Heugel (fondate nel 1839) sono state aggiunte nel 1980 e Hamelle (1877) nel 1990. I seguenti compositori sono entrati a far parte della base editoriale: Gounod, Faur\u00e9, Delibes, Widor, Massenet, Offenbach, Gustave Charpentier, Poulenc, Milhaud, Jolivet, Tournemire, Franck, Messiaen, Honegger, Tomasi. Poi c'erano i contemporanei Henry Dutilleux, Pierre Boulez, Charles Chaynes, Betsy Jolas, Thierry Escaich, solo per citarne alcuni.<\/p>\n<p>Leduc \u00e8 stato rilevato dal pi\u00f9 grande editore musicale europeo, il British Music Sales Group. La sede editoriale tradizionale di Rue Saint-Honor\u00e9 a Parigi \u00e8 stata venduta qualche mese fa.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote class='text-section'>\n<p>In occasione di questo rilevamento, Mich\u00e8le Worms propone nell'editoriale della rivista <em>La Lettre du Musicien<\/em> una breve panoramica del panorama editoriale francese e dei suoi cambiamenti (traduzione di Pia Schwab):<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class='text-section'>\n<p><strong><br \/> <\/strong>Trent'anni fa, in Francia c'erano case editrici che andavano da quelle molto piccole a quelle molto grandi, con una grande variet\u00e0 di orientamenti. Tra le grandi, i fiori all'occhiello del patrimonio culturale francese, Heugel, la casa editrice di Jacques Offenbach e Reynaldo Hahn, era gi\u00e0 stata trasferita alle Editions Alphonse Leduc. Leduc, con sede in Rue Saint-Honor\u00e9, deteneva da tempo i diritti delle opere di Faur\u00e9 ed era una fonte indispensabile di prezioso materiale esecutivo per orchestre e teatri d'opera. Il compito pi\u00f9 importante della casa editrice fu senza dubbio la stampa dell'opera di Messiaen. <em>Saint Fran\u00e7ois d'Assise<\/em> nel 1983, la cui partitura raggiungeva le 2400 pagine!<\/p>\n<p>La casa editrice Durand (1869) troneggiava in Place de la Madeleine, nel salotto del pianoforte a coda su cui Debussy e altri avevano suonato in attesa del loro editore. Nel suo programma c'erano soprattutto i grandi nomi del \"Momento 1900\" ed era molto invidiato per i diritti sull'opera di Ravel. <em>Bol\u00e9ro<\/em>. Nel 1986, Durand acquist\u00f2 la casa editrice Max Eschig (1907), che port\u00f2 con s\u00e9 una gamma pi\u00f9 internazionale. Il fondatore di origine boema era il re dell'operetta viennese e pubblicava grandi compositori spagnoli e sudamericani, oltre a Martin\u016f e Szymanowski.<\/p>\n<p>Il successo commerciale delle Edizioni Choudens \u00e8 stato garantito dalla <em>Carmen <\/em>e l'opera di Gounod <em>Pugno<\/em>. Salabert, invece, prediligeva le operette, le chansons, ma anche le opere del Groupe des Six e oggi una ricca selezione di opere contemporanee; Henry Lemoine privilegiava i classici della letteratura pianistica fino a Bruno Mantovani. Tutti erano in grado di tenere il passo con i grandi. Altri editori, come Jobert, rilevato da Lemoine nel 2007, si sono dedicati al repertorio contemporaneo.<\/p>\n<p>Mentre Durand-Salabert-Eschig fanno parte di Universal Music da qualche tempo (cos\u00ec come Ricordi, tra l'altro, ndr), l'ultima acquisizione riguarda Alphonse Leduc, che passa sotto l'ombrello di Music Sales Group.<\/p>\n<p>Il panorama editoriale \u00e8 quindi notevolmente cambiato: Delle case storiche in Francia rimangono Henry-Lemoine (1772) e Editions G\u00e9rard Billaudot (1896), che pubblicano compositori moderni o letteratura educativa di alta qualit\u00e0. Grazie a una miriade di piccoli editori creativi, le indicazioni sembrano puntare alla specializzazione.<\/p>\n<p>In Germania e Austria, i principali editori Schott, Peters, Breitkopf, B\u00e4renreiter, Henle e Universal mantengono la loro posizione. Gli ultimi quattro svolgono un notevole lavoro di ricerca e di redazione di Urtext, che li rende indispensabili. Le case britanniche, invece, hanno in mano lo scettro della musica popolare. E i loro cataloghi comprenderanno ora anche Massenet, Franck, Poulenc, Milhaud, Dutilleux... senza che il loro cuore batta particolarmente per loro.
