Soprattutto a Vienna, che Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart considerava ancora un centro musicale nel 1780. <em>\"Clavierland\"<\/em> Nei primi due decenni si sono riuniti innumerevoli ensemble privati. Volevano essere riforniti di opere originali e di arrangiamenti di opere e oratori famosi, ma anche di intere sinfonie e sonate. Ma proprio mentre il mercato fioriva, era necessario separare il grano dalla pula tra gli arrangiamenti: La mera trascrizione meccanica poteva portare rapidamente a un'edizione a stampa commerciabile, ma non sempre a un arrangiamento musicalmente adeguato. Infatti, cos\u00ec come ogni strumento ha il suo idioma, anche i diversi generi e le diverse strumentazioni sono diversi. Nell'autunno del 1802, Beethoven si sent\u00ec addirittura obbligato a scrivere una nuova versione nella versione di Lipsia. <em>Allgemeine musikalische Zeitung<\/em> per mettere in guardia dagli arrangiamenti per quintetto d'archi della sua Sinfonia in do maggiore op. 21 e del Settimino in mi bemolle maggiore op. 20, che erano apparsi senza il suo coinvolgimento.<\/p>\n<p>Quanto fosse urgente il problema \u00e8 reso evidente da una lettera del 13 luglio 1802, inviata a Breitkopf &amp; H\u00e4rtel solo pochi mesi prima, in cui Beethoven ringrazia l'editore per il suo comportamento decoroso nei confronti di tali prodotti. Parla anche a lungo delle vere esigenze dell'editing: <em>\"Per quanto riguarda le opere arrangiate, sono molto contento che le abbiate rifiutate; l'innaturale accanimento che si ha nel voler trapiantare anche le opere per pianoforte su strumenti come il violino, strumenti che sono cos\u00ec opposti in tutto, potrebbe essere fermato; io sostengo fermamente che solo Mozart poteva tradursi dal pianoforte ad altri strumenti, cos\u00ec come Haydn - e senza volermi unire a entrambi i grandi uomini, lo sostengo anche per le mie sonate per pianoforte, dato che non solo devono essere completamente omessi e modificati interi passaggi. bisogna - bisogna ancora aggiungere, e qui c'\u00e8 lo spiacevole ostacolo, che per superarlo bisogna essere il maestro stesso, o almeno avere la stessa destrezza e inventiva - che ho tradotto una mia sonata in un quartetto di G. I.<\/em> Strumenti per violino <em>quello che mi \u00e8 stato chiesto tanto, e so per certo che nessun altro me lo far\u00e0 cos\u00ec facilmente\".<\/em><\/p>\n<p>La composizione citata \u00e8 l'arrangiamento della Sonata per pianoforte in mi maggiore op. 14\/1, in cui Beethoven non solo traspose l'opera in fa maggiore, ma riorganizz\u00f2 radicalmente quasi tutti i modelli di accompagnamento. Inoltre, le parti centrali sono state individualizzate in base al movimento del quartetto, cos\u00ec che alla fine \u00e8 stata creata una versione completamente nuova e indipendente. - Se volete seguire in dettaglio questo processo di editing quasi sperimentale, vi consigliamo la partitura tascabile dell'Edition Eulenburg (ETP 297), in cui sono stampate insieme entrambe le versioni della composizione.
