La pace del mondo poteva essere preservata solo attraverso sforzi creativi, e: \"<em>L'Europa non pu\u00f2 essere creata in un colpo solo, n\u00e9 semplicemente riassunta. Essa emerger\u00e0 attraverso fatti concreti che creino innanzitutto una solidariet\u00e0 d'azione.<\/em>.\" Anche 70 anni dopo, queste parole dell'allora ministro degli Esteri francese sono ancora giustificate. In un certo senso, derivano anche dalle esperienze dell'inizio del XIX secolo, quando solo la comunit\u00e0 di molte nazioni poteva fermare Napoleone e le sue truppe. Il fatto che il Congresso di Vienna, che segu\u00ec di l\u00ec a poco, non realizz\u00f2 le speranze di tutte quelle persone che avevano fatto sacrifici, \u00e8 un'altra questione...<\/p>\n<p>Per la metropoli danubiana, gli anni 1814\/15 furono un periodo di grandi festeggiamenti e divertimenti, poich\u00e9 i capi di Stato e i loro entourage non solo dovevano essere intrattenuti nel miglior modo possibile: La sala da ballo diventava spesso un luogo di diplomazia. Tale grandiosit\u00e0 incoraggiava anche la creazione di cantate festive. Tuttavia, queste opere occasionali hanno un'esistenza oscura nella storia della musica, se non sono cadute completamente nel dimenticatoio. Nell'autunno del 1814, ad esempio, Beethoven cre\u00f2 la cantata <em>Momento di gloria <\/em>una composizione che fu eseguita solo altre due volte durante la sua vita, dopo il concerto festivo di altissimo livello del 29 novembre di quell'anno. Fu pubblicata solo nel 1835, ma in un'edizione sontuosa e costosa. Due anni dopo, l'editore sostitu\u00ec il libretto originale, legato alla situazione, con una poesia pi\u00f9 generale di Friedrich Rochlitz (<em>Premio Arte del Suono<\/em>) e ha esplicitamente sottolineato nella prefazione all'edizione che questo \"<em>non ha reso necessario il minimo cambiamento nella musica<\/em>\" hanno.<\/p>\n<p>Beethoven era pienamente consapevole della funzione rappresentativa della sua composizione. I movimenti ampi, il ricco forte dell'orchestra e le parti corali, molte delle quali ricordano Handel, ne sono ancora oggi la prova. Il n. 3 \u00e8 probabilmente il pi\u00f9 insolito e impressionante (<em>Oh cielo, che delizia!<\/em>), in cui al soprano solista e al coro si aggiunge un violino solista. Il finale, con ottavino e un'efficace \"musica turca\", riprende alcuni dei brani successivi. <em>Inno alla gioia<\/em> ma qui \u00e8 ulteriormente ampliato dall'uso di un coro di bambini.
