Egli si pone al di fuori del sistema, non si sente vincolato da alcuna norma, guarda in bocca le persone e si tiene allo specchio, in modo che le sue battute portino a rimuginare con mente vigile. Questo \u00e8 anche il caso del Settimino in mi bemolle maggiore op. 20 di Beethoven, un'opera il cui spirito divertente era gi\u00e0 apprezzato dai suoi contemporanei. Con grande disappunto del compositore, che fece pressioni sull'editore Hoffmeister &amp; K\u00fchnel di Lipsia per una rapida pubblicazione: <em>\"Il mio settetto sta inviando un po' pi\u00f9 velocemente nel mondo - perch\u00e9 la folla lo sta aspettando\".<\/em> (8 aprile 1802) Il suono sembrava popolare a molti, ma ancora di pi\u00f9 il suono dell'ensemble misto nel 1800 non era solo nuovo, ma completamente innovativo.<\/p>\n<p>La strumentazione non corrisponde n\u00e9 a un quartetto d'archi n\u00e9 a un'armonia di fiati, ma non si avvicina nemmeno alla piccola orchestra di una sinfonia. Karl Reinhold K\u00f6stlich, nei suoi commenti sulla musica del 1857 (come terza parte dell'opera di Friedrich Theodor Vischer <em>Estetica o scienza della bellezza<\/em>) questa \u00e8 l'attrazione speciale e la sfida per ogni creatore di suoni: <em>\"L'insieme misto <\/em>su un settetto <em>\u00e8 una forma meno definita, la cui realizzazione con un contenuto completamente accurato \u00e8 pi\u00f9 difficile da trovare, una questione di fortuna e di tatto del compositore\".<\/em> (Sp. 1056)<\/p>\n<p>Anche la struttura dell'opera, con un totale di sei movimenti, la avvicina alla serenata. In effetti, il minuetto, le variazioni e lo scherzo in particolare hanno un tono enfaticamente allegro e piacevole - che \u00e8 tuttavia preceduto da un'introduzione quasi sinfonica all'inizio del primo movimento; l'introduzione al finale assomiglia addirittura a una marcia funebre. Il fatto che le parti tecnicamente impegnative (soprattutto i fiati) non abbiano apparentemente ostacolato la popolarit\u00e0 dell'opera \u00e8 ancora oggi sorprendente.<\/p>\n<p>In ogni caso, lo stesso Beethoven sottoline\u00f2 al suo editore che la strumentazione era <em>\"Tutti obbligati (non posso scrivere nulla di non obbligatorio perch\u00e9 sono nato con un accompagnamento obbligatorio)\".<\/em>. Cos\u00ec facendo, ha catturato l'essenza e lo spirito di ogni ensemble misto. Il suo settetto divenne rapidamente un modello.
