Foto: zvg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Al suo debutto <em>Lottare o giocare<\/em> (2007), Five on Fire si concentrava su un jazz facilmente digeribile con interiezioni funk. Sei anni dopo, tuttavia, la formazione che ruota attorno a Daniel Gubelmann si \u00e8 reinventata e ha iniziato a collaborare con un quartetto d'archi. Per l'ultimo album <em>Movimento eterno<\/em> questo approccio \u00e8 stato ulteriormente sviluppato e si \u00e8 riunito un grande ensemble d'archi del Musikkollegium Winterthur.<\/p>\n<p>L'obiettivo di Gubelmann era quello di combinare il jazz con la musica classica e l'improvvisazione, alla ricerca di melodie potenti e della massima espressivit\u00e0 possibile. Il musicista e compositore, formatosi a Berna, Zurigo e Buenos Aires e noto in particolare per il suo sassofono lirico, permette al suo quartetto jazz di suonare alla pari con l'orchestra d'archi. Il risultato \u00e8 un suono quasi simbiotico che ignora i confini di genere.<\/p>\n<p>Il titolo del disco, \"Ewigkeit der Bewegung\" (\"Eternit\u00e0 del movimento\"), suggerisce che il progetto non \u00e8 sinonimo di understatement, anzi. Di conseguenza, ci\u00f2 che viene offerto \u00e8 impressionante e pieno di dramma. Dove il preludio, il delicato <em>Preludio di Buenos Aires<\/em>che \u00e8 interamente di competenza dell'orchestra d'archi, all'inizio \u00e8 sorprendentemente contenuta. Segue il <em>Il rio degli angeli<\/em>che \u00e8 caratterizzato da una sublime conversazione tra sassofono e pianoforte e si presenta con colori sonori malinconici. Con <em>Il fiore dell'amore<\/em> Il talento di Gubelmann per il tango si fa finalmente sentire, con grande passione e ritmi a volte furiosi.<\/p>\n<p>Secondo Gubelmann, le sue otto composizioni affermano di poter fare a meno delle immagini. Tuttavia <em>Movimento eterno<\/em> una suite cinematografica che fa riferimento ad Astor Piazzolla, Stan Getz e John Coltrane, tra gli altri.
