L'arpista Praxedis Hug-R\u00fctti e sua figlia, la pianista Praxedis Genevi\u00e8ve Hug, si esibiscono insieme da anni e continuano a sorprendere con registrazioni originali. Basti pensare al doppio CD di Piazzolla o al <em>grande duetto <\/em>con opere originali per arpa e pianoforte, anche un doppio album.<\/p>\n<p>In realt\u00e0, l'arpa \u00e8 sempre stata uno strumento fiorente, ad esempio nelle corti reali e nei salotti del XIX secolo. O con i francesi, quando Claude Debussy e Maurice Ravel si misero a creare nuovi mondi sonori \"liberati\". Il binomio arpa e pianoforte \u00e8 stato celebrato anche in sala da concerto, ad esempio con il pianista Carl Czerny (1791-1857) e l'arpista Elias Parish Alvars (1808-1849), che per Berlioz era il \"Liszt dell'arpa\".<\/p>\n<p>Per i due appassionati musicisti, la ricerca di letteratura interessante ma dimenticata per il loro duo fa parte del lavoro. Nel loro attuale CD, ad esempio, si pu\u00f2 ascoltare un brano di <em>Grand Duo du Couronnement<\/em> di Henri Herz (1806-1888) o ascoltare l'opera <em>Sei Notturni<\/em> di Charles Oberth\u00fcr (1819-1895). Il pianista sa come trattenere sottilmente il suono di queste trouvailles per dare all'arpa il suo spazio acustico.<\/p>\n<p>Tuttavia, questo CD documenta anche tre delle opere commissionate che il Duo Praxedis assegna regolarmente a rinomati compositori svizzeri. Nel 2018, il compositore Rudolf Lutz, stilisticamente molto completo e versatile, ha registrato <em>La Folia<\/em> per il duo, con il quale, secondo le sue stesse parole, \"serpeggia attraverso i pi\u00f9 diversi paesi stilistici\". Lutz combina abilmente elementi rinascimentali, sonorit\u00e0 romantiche, tango e variazioni jazz per creare un brano vario ma coerente.<\/p>\n<p><em>Coucher du soleil<\/em> (2016) \u00e8 il titolo dell'opera che Rolf Urs Ringger ha dedicato al Duo Praxedis in et\u00e0 avanzata. Si \u00e8 ispirato al dipinto di Marc Chagall <em>Tramonto <\/em>ispirare. In nessun altro brano di questo CD il dialogo tra pianoforte e arpa \u00e8 esplorato cos\u00ec magistralmente come in questo caso. L'uso da parte di Ringger del registro basso pedalificato del pianoforte a coda \u00e8 particolarmente suggestivo e conferisce all'arpa delicata un'aura sonora originale.<\/p>\n<p>Anche Xavier Dayer, il pi\u00f9 giovane compositore del gruppo, \u00e8 noto per il suo sottile senso del suono. Per il Duo Praxedis ha variato una melodia tratta dalle canzoni polifoniche popolari della provincia francese del B\u00e9arn.
