Secondo il comunicato stampa del Cantone, l'ufficio costruzioni ha completato la ristrutturazione del teatro alla fine di giugno, dopo un periodo di costruzione di quasi tre anni. Il Konzert e il Theater St.Gallen si trasferiranno nei nuovi locali dopo la pausa estiva e si prepareranno per la stagione 2023\/2024 nel teatro rinnovato. La prima di \"Lili Elbe\" avr\u00e0 luogo la sera del 22 ottobre 2023. Al mattino, il pubblico avr\u00e0 l'opportunit\u00e0 di esplorare il teatro durante una giornata di porte aperte.<\/p>\n

Il teatro \u00e8 stato inaugurato nel 1968. L'edificio, progettato dall'architetto zurighese Claude Paillard, \u00e8 considerato un capolavoro dell'architettura teatrale moderna. Il dipartimento di costruzione dell'edificio ha modernizzato la tecnologia costruttiva e gran parte della tecnologia operativa. Sono state eliminate le carenze energetiche. Inoltre, la ristrutturazione e l'ampliamento hanno creato le condizioni quadro per le operazioni teatrali contemporanee, senza perdere gli elementi architettonici che le caratterizzano. Il progetto \u00e8 iniziato nel marzo 2020 con la costruzione dell'edificio temporaneo.
