La Boulanger, come dimostra in modo impressionante questo libro, proveniva dall'estetica d'ispirazione romantica, ma rimase di mentalit\u00e0 aperta fino alla vecchiaia. Non \u00e8 mai stata sprezzante o addirittura scettica nei confronti del nuovo, anche se la sua attenzione era rivolta all'estetica e alla storia francese.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno Monsaingeon ha pubblicato il suo libro <em>Mademoiselle. Incontri con Nadia Boulanger<\/em> pubblicato nel 1981, \u00e8 ora disponibile in tedesco, ottimamente curato e tradotto da Joachim Kalka. Nella prefazione, Monsaingeon osserva che Boulanger non amava \"fare dichiarazioni confidenziali\". Questo spiega probabilmente lo stile un po' parcellizzato del libro, che si basa su conversazioni degli ultimi anni della sua vita. La Boulanger non \u00e8 una filosofa della musica, n\u00e9 una scienziata o una teorica. I suoi pensieri sono erratici, ma non improduttivi.<\/p>\n<p>Nadia parla a lungo di sua sorella Lili, del suo talento e della scintilla di genio di Lili, che lei stessa non ha mai avuto. Il libro ruota spesso intorno a temi come il talento, la creativit\u00e0 e l'impulso creativo - vedi \"estetica romantica dell'ispirazione\". A pagina 97, Boulanger afferma che:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"Quando si parla di genio o di capolavoro, devo ammettere il mio imbarazzo. In effetti, non so nulla... So e non so perch\u00e9 ho una certezza che non si basa sulla ragione. Si comincia, naturalmente, con una certezza che \u00e8 in parte ragionevole, nella misura in cui mi rendo conto che la musica \u00e8 ben scritta, ben orchestrata, ben costruita. Ma nel momento in cui si tratta di qualcos'altro, si entra nel mistero. Poich\u00e9 sono un credente, tutto mi sembra un mistero\".<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Si pu\u00f2 chiamare rispetto, rispetto per l'arte, rispetto per la musica. Tuttavia, pi\u00f9 ci si immerge nel pensiero della Boulanger, pi\u00f9 si insinua la sensazione di un misticismo colto, che si pone in posizione stranamente obliqua rispetto a idee piuttosto concrete di artigianato musicale e a intuizioni profonde e tangibili di importanti opere della storia della musica. \u00c8 proprio quest'impressione che probabilmente spiega il successo pedagogico della Boulanger: ella trasmetteva le nozioni di base, in modo consapevole e rigoroso allo stesso tempo. Ci\u00f2 che i suoi allievi facevano, ci\u00f2 che accadeva nei processi inconsci, lei lo rispettava e lo taceva. Questa \u00e8 probabilmente anche la conclusione di questo libro dalle molte sfaccettature: ci sono molti impulsi.
