Originariamente specializzato nella musica rinascimentale, l'Ensemble Orlando si \u00e8 trasformato in un gruppo vocale professionale nel corso di quasi 30 anni dalla sua fondazione sotto la direzione di Laurent Gendre. La sua formazione variabile \u00e8 composta da dieci a trenta cantanti. Il repertorio si estende fino al XVIII secolo. L'ensemble collabora con diverse orchestre, si esibisce in patria e all'estero e ha registrato diversi CD.<\/p>\n

L'ensemble vocale ha ancora sede a Friburgo. Tuttavia, alcuni dei cantanti provengono dalla Svizzera tedesca e in futuro l'ensemble vorrebbe farsi strada maggiormente nelle regioni di lingua tedesca. Per lui \u00e8 importante anche il collegamento tra le generazioni. Ad esempio, i membri fondatori cantano ancora oggi con l'ensemble, trasmettendo la loro diversa esperienza ai giovani cantanti che si sono aggiunti di recente. Inoltre, nel 2022 ha realizzato un progetto con la Scuola di Musica dell'Universit\u00e0 di Scienze Applicate della Svizzera Occidentale (HEMU). 19 studenti di canto hanno avuto modo di conoscere i metodi di lavoro di un coro professionale esibendosi in un concerto insieme all'Ensemble Orlando.<\/p>\n
