Un film che ruota attorno a un poliziotto (James Stewart) che soffre di paura dell'altezza dopo un'esperienza traumatica. Un film, tra l'altro, in cui la musica congeniale di Bernard Herrmann svolge un ruolo centrale. Il giovane compositore austriaco Philipp Manuel Gutmann ha ora anteposto a una delle sue ultime opere il nome \"Vertigo\" e l'ha sottotitolata \"Bagatelle per pianoforte\". Nel giugno 2021 ha vinto il premio del pubblico della 1\u00aa Giornata della nuova musica per pianoforte di Graz.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.philippmanuelgutmann.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Philipp Manuel Gutmann<\/a> \u00e8 nato a Zwettl (Bassa Austria) nel 1993. Ha studiato composizione a Vienna (con Dirk D'Ase) e a Zurigo (con Kaspar Ewald e Isabel Mundry). Nonostante la giovane et\u00e0, pu\u00f2 gi\u00e0 vantare un'opera considerevole. Essa comprende opere teatrali e sinfonie, ma anche musica da camera e numerosi lavori per coro. Sembra avere un debole per le orchestre di fiati.<\/p>\n<p>Torniamo al suo pezzo per pianoforte <em>Vertigine<\/em>che in realt\u00e0 si riferisce al film di Hitchcock. Inizia \"lentamente e minacciosamente\" con figure ripetitive che aumentano gradualmente di tempo e volume. A queste si aggiungono frammenti melodici che citano ovviamente motivi della musica da film di Bernard Herrmann. Gli accordi sono alternativamente spezzati verso l'alto e verso il basso. Nell'ultima pagina, l'inizio tranquillo si trasforma infine in un impetuoso inseguimento. L'effetto che ne deriva crea davvero una sensazione di disorientamento, di vertigine.<\/p>\n<p>Pianisticamente \u00e8 <em>Vertigine<\/em> non \u00e8 cos\u00ec difficile come potrebbe sembrare a prima vista. La scrittura pianistica \u00e8 eccellente. (L'unica indicazione di diteggiatura all'inizio dovrebbe essere 3213).
