Foto: Kira Kynd<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>La buona notizia arriva subito all'inizio: <a href=\"https:\/\/sonicmatter.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Materia sonica<\/a> pu\u00f2 continuare. Su richiesta del Comune di Zurigo, l'amministrazione comunale ha deciso di continuare a sostenere il festival di musica sperimentale con una sovvenzione annuale di 250.000 franchi per i prossimi quattro anni. La citt\u00e0 di Zurigo \u00e8 il principale sponsor di Sonic Matter. Il festival, nato nel 2021 dai Tage f\u00fcr Neue Musik Z\u00fcrich, si trovava in precedenza in una fase pilota e la sua affidabilit\u00e0 creditizia era stata valutata da una societ\u00e0 esterna.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Conoscere cose diverse<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Dopo la prima edizione incentrata sui cambiamenti musicali ed extra-musicali con il motto \"Turn\" e quella dello scorso anno \"Rise\", che cercava di comprendere lo stare in piedi anche in senso politico, il motto \"Leap\" (salto) costituisce ora la parentesi per il terzo anno. Nella prefazione al programma, le due direttrici artistiche Katharina Rosenberger e Lisa Nolte hanno invitato il pubblico a \"fare insieme un salto nell'ignoto\". L'interconnessione del mondo dovrebbe essere sfruttata come un'opportunit\u00e0 per conoscere ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 diverso, per abbracciare l'imprevisto. Oltre ai musicisti svizzeri, sono stati invitati anche numerosi artisti stranieri, soprattutto dal Medio Oriente. E come ospite, il <a href=\"https:\/\/irtijal.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Festival Irtijal Beirut<\/a> \u00e8 anch'esso coinvolto.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Suoni e colpi di scena sorprendenti<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Il concerto di apertura nello Schiffbau dello Schauspielhaus di Zurigo ha fornito un'espressione concreta di queste idee. L'incontro con la compositrice e suonatrice di qanun iraniana Nilufar Habibian \u00e8 stato emozionante. Nel suo pezzo <em>Diventare<\/em> la cetra orientale forma sorprendenti combinazioni con la chitarra elettrica, il violoncello e il clarinetto basso. Il chitarrista Sharif Sehnaoui e il videoartista Mazen Kerbaj, i due fondatori del festival Irtijal di Beirut, hanno fatto da contrappunto all'esibizione dell'ensemble ginevrino Contrechamps con una performance estemporanea. <em>I tunnel spaziali<\/em>. Al suono insolito della chitarra preparata, Kerbaj disegnava e spruzzava immagini astratte su una pellicola, che venivano contemporaneamente proiettate su uno schermo. Alla luce dell'attuale guerra a Gaza, la frase che appare all'improvviso \"Siamo i morti di domani\" \u00e8 un chiaro messaggio politico. La composizione finale per giradischi ambisonici dal vivo e elettronica immersiva del compositore <a href=\"https:\/\/studiofeshareki.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shiva Feshareki<\/a> ha offerto sorprendenti esperienze sonore a 360 gradi, ma ha chiaramente richiesto troppo tempo rispetto alla ricchezza di idee.<\/p>\n<p>Il tradizionale concerto alla Tonhalle \u00e8 stato accompagnato da uno scandalo: Sonic Matter ha infatti annunciato con poco preavviso che questa volta non avrebbe fatto parte del festival. Entrambi gli organizzatori hanno taciuto le ragioni. Interpellato, il portavoce di Sonic Matter si \u00e8 limitato a dichiarare che la decisione era \"dovuta alla situazione geopolitica\". Foto: Kira Kynd<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3><strong>Lounge, Party, Corso, Maratona<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Oltre ai concerti tradizionali, Sonic Matter ha offerto ancora una volta formati di presentazione alternativi, come il Listening Lounge con musica elettroacustica attuale proveniente da venti Paesi, la festa per i giovani con il gruppo di DJ Frequent Defect della scena dei club di Beirut e un percorso sonoro all'aperto. La maratona di quattro ore di concerti <em>La lunga notte delle interferenze<\/em> al Theaterhaus Gessnerallee ha permesso alla musica di diverse culture di scontrarsi. Il compositore, che vive nei Paesi Bassi <a href=\"https:\/\/aurelielierman.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aur\u00e9lie Nyirabikali Lierman<\/a> e il suo gruppo Silbersee hanno trasportato il pubblico con l'installazione performativa <em>Umva!<\/em> in Ruanda. Il soggetto \u00e8 la vita del nonno di Aur\u00e9lie, Kanyoni Ladislas, vissuto in Ruanda come mandriano e guaritore naturale e morto all'et\u00e0 di 113 anni. La narrazione, gli elementi di danza e l'esecuzione di strumenti tradizionali africani e del violino \"europeo\" hanno creato un affascinante teatro musicale afro-europeo.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Conclusione dopo tre anni<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Dopo la terza edizione di Sonic Matter, \u00e8 chiaro che il festival \u00e8 diventato parte integrante della scena musicale d'avanguardia a cui la gente non vuole pi\u00f9 mancare.
