Non \u00e8 facile superare la canzone che apre questo meraviglioso album. La verit\u00e0 <\/em>racconta la storia autobiografica di una giovane donna. La ragazza inizia una conversazione con un famoso poeta in un bar noto per servire alcolici ai minorenni e viene convinta da lui ad accompagnarlo a casa, dove riesce appena a sfuggire a una grave violenza sessuale. Tuttavia, la canzone non parla tanto di questo quanto della verit\u00e0 che ha raggiunto l'uomo qualche anno fa: \u00c8 stato condannato da un giornale - e da Ella Ronen - per aggressione seriale.<\/p>\n

Ella Ronen avvolge questa storia in una melodia che il mini ritornello ellitticamente ricorrente (\"The truth is on its way\"), in combinazione con la vellutata voce di contralto e un sottile arrangiamento di chitarra accentuato da conga e cetra (?), rende davvero indimenticabile. Registrato con il produttore americano Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Alexandra Savior, ecc.) nel nord dello Stato di New York, il disco \u00e8 La ragazza senza pelle <\/em>un'opera straordinariamente varia e sottile che si concede anche momenti di rabbia (\"Fuck cute\/I'm tired of cute\/cute has never ever served me\"). Ella Ronen \u00e8 cresciuta a Tel Aviv prima di finire a Losanna come studentessa, dove ha registrato il suo album di debutto nel 2014.
