Foto: zVg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<div class='text-section'>\n<p>Il catalogo di composizioni di Margrit Zimmermann \u00e8 ampio e copre tutti i generi musicali, ad eccezione dell'opera. Ha dedicato molta attenzione alla musica da camera, scegliendo combinazioni insolite di strumenti e paesaggi sonori. Pianista di formazione, il pianoforte le \u00e8 rimasto nel cuore per tutta la vita. Tutto veniva scritto su di esso, soprattutto di notte, sia che si trattasse di grandi partiture orchestrali, di quartetti d'archi o di composizioni pianistiche vere e proprie. Il pianoforte a coda Erard della sua casa nel quartiere Sch\u00f6nberg di Berna era il suo strumento di lavoro e il suo luogo di lavoro, sul quale accumulava schizzi e composizioni finite e scritte. Un'opera centrale fu letteralmente scritta per il pianoforte: Negli Studi <em>bianchi-neri<\/em> i tasti neri superiori sono contrapposti ai tasti bianchi inferiori, come se la tastiera avesse due manuali.<\/p>\n<p>Margrit Zimmermann descrive la sua musica come free-atonal e tradizionale. Quest'ultima si riferisce alla notazione e alla struttura formale. Il suo linguaggio tonale si muove nella zona di confine non tonale e dissonante. \u00c8 caratterizzato dalla stratificazione orizzontale e verticale di quarte e settime, e di conseguenza anche dalle loro inversioni, quinte e seconde. La compositrice utilizzava estensioni tonali in modo giocoso e improvvisato per creare effetti appuntiti e scriveva i propri simboli nelle partiture con spiegazioni a fronte. Una pesante catena sferraglia insieme al pianoforte, gli avambracci devono essere rotolati sui tasti, i fiati e gli archi suonano in quarti di tono. Ha dedicato un lavoro teorico e illustrazioni grafiche all'organizzazione, all'accordatura e all'uso della musica in quarti di tono.<\/p>\n<p>Le opere di Margrit Zimmermann hanno trovato interpreti, piccoli e grandi palcoscenici e sono state pi\u00f9 volte premiate. <\/p>\n<p>Nata a Berna nel 1927, Margrit Zimmermann si \u00e8 formata come pianista a Berna con la pianista e compositrice Jeanne Bovet e successivamente a Parigi con Alfred Cortot, dove ha avuto la fortuna di frequentare per un anno un corso di composizione con Arthur Honegger. In seguito si \u00e8 formata come direttrice d'orchestra e nel 1973 ha fondato la sua orchestra a Berna. Nel 1978 ha completato otto anni di studi di composizione presso il Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano, ottenendo il Diploma di Composizione.<\/p>\n<p>Il catalogo ragionato di Margrit Zimmermann pu\u00f2 essere consultato su <a href='http:\/\/musinfo.ch\/de\/personen\/komponisten\/?pers_id=1391&#038;abc=Z' target='_blank'>musinfo.ch<\/a>Le sue composizioni sono disponibili nella biblioteca dell'Universit\u00e0 delle Arti di Berna. Un CD raccoglie le opere Quadriga e Piano Time per pianoforte, Pensieri per tenore, chitarra e flauto, un quartetto d'archi e le Danze Orfiche per flauto, clarinetto, viola, violoncello e pianoforte (disponibile presso <a href='mailto:gerber.iris@gmx.ch?subject=Margrit%20Zimmermann'>gerber.iris@gmx.ch<\/a>). Nel libro <em>Nachtwerk - Omaggio a una compositrice donna<\/em>, pubblicato nel 2011 in <a href='https:\/\/www.zytglogge.ch\/9783729608184\/nachtwerk' target='_blank'>Editore Zytglogge Oberhofen\/Basel<\/a>Iris Gerber Ritter, ex allieva e interprete di Margrit Zimmermann, parla della sua vita e del suo lavoro.<\/p>\n<p>Il 23 febbraio di quest'anno, Margrit Zimmermann si \u00e8 spenta dopo una lunga malattia all'et\u00e0 di novantatr\u00e9 anni.
